About Typing Speed Training
Typing Speed Training is a free browser-based typing education platform created to help learners improve speed, accuracy, consistency, and confidence. The site includes a typing test, structured lessons, WPM guides, free calculators, timers, FAQs, practical articles, job practice modes, a mobile texting test, and leaderboards.
The goal is to make typing practice useful for real school, office, data entry, study, and productivity tasks. The site is maintained by Kayla Eastman and can be contacted at lushellabrands@gmail.com.
What the site offers
Visitors can take a free typing test, read lessons for beginners and specific workflows, compare scores with WPM guides, calculate WPM or KPH from custom sessions, and plan focused practice blocks. No ads are currently displayed.
The site is organized as a learning platform rather than only a single typing test. A learner can test first, read a guide that explains the score, use a lesson to fix a skill, then measure a custom practice session with a calculator or timer.
Who the site is for
Typing Speed Training is useful for beginners, students, office workers, remote workers, job seekers, programmers, and anyone who types regularly. The content focuses on practical improvement: fewer repeated mistakes, cleaner typing, more realistic practice material, and better understanding of WPM and accuracy.
Public tools work without an account. Local progress is stored in the browser, while optional account features and the global leaderboard use Supabase for username uniqueness and shared score ranking.
